At Mata BJJ, we provide a safe and welcoming environment where children and teenagers can develop their grappling skills, confidence, and discipline. Led by head instructor José Mata, a 2nd-degree BJJ black belt, Judo black belt, and experienced competitor, our club focuses on clear instruction, positive reinforcement, and creating a supportive community for young martial artists.
Our Kids & Teens classes are structured, engaging, and designed to improve coordination, movement, and basic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu techniques. Each session emphasises fun, teamwork, and safe practice, giving children the chance to learn self-control, problem-solving, and resilience while building a foundation for lifelong fitness.
